About the role

MarketConnect is a specialist procurement consultancy for complex capital projects, focused on datacenter construction. We run tendering, bid evaluation and contract management for international clients and engineering consultancies, currently on large-scale datacenter projects in the Nordics.

You will work directly with our founder on live European projects, supporting procurement and contract administration across contractor and owner-furnished equipment packages. From day one you are part of real tenders, real evaluations and real client deliverables.

The role is designed to grow into a Procurement Manager position as you take ownership of packages end to end.

What you will do

  • Prepare and issue tender packages, maintain bidder registers and manage tender timelines.
  • Run clarification logs, draft responses and issue addenda.
  • Prepare bid opening records and manage submission control.
  • Build commercial comparisons and check submissions for completeness and compliance.
  • Identify and log commercial and contractual deviations against tender requirements.
  • Prepare evaluation inputs and reports using our established templates.
  • Draft contract documents, Letters of Intent and purchase orders from standard templates.
  • Track contract amendments, variations and change requests.
  • Maintain contract registers, correspondence records and document control.
  • Prepare status reports and procurement trackers for clients.
  • Communicate with suppliers, contractors and client teams in Europe.

What we are looking for

  • Three to six years in contract administration, quantity surveying or procurement on construction or infrastructure projects.
  • Working knowledge of FIDIC contracts.
  • Proven experience with international clients, not only domestic Vietnamese clients.
  • Fluent written and spoken English, at a level suitable for direct communication with European clients.
  • Strong Excel skills and a structured, detail-oriented way of working.
  • Availability to overlap with European working hours, which means Vietnam afternoons.

Nice to have

  • Experience on industrial projects.
  • A background at an international cost consultancy, engineering consultancy or contractor.
  • A degree in quantity surveying, construction management, engineering or law.
  • Comfort using AI tools to work faster and more accurately.

What we offer

  • Work side by side with our founder on live European datacenter projects, with direct mentorship throughout.
  • A clear development path towards Procurement Manager.
  • Competitive salary based on experience, plus 13th-month salary.
  • Social, health and unemployment insurance in line with Vietnamese law.
  • Hybrid working, with a laptop and professional tools provided.

How we hire

A short recruiter call, then an in-person practical assessment, a short self-reflection exercise, and a final discussion with the hiring manager covering your experience, development areas and fit for the role.

  • Do you have working knowledge of FIDIC contracts?
  • Have you worked directly with international clients, not only domestic Vietnamese clients?
  • Can you work afternoons to overlap with European working hours?
  • Are you based in Ho Chi Minh City, or able to work hybrid from there?
  • Which best describes your background?

Applications are read by a person. If your experience fits, you will hear from us. If it does not, we will tell you.
